About the Role

 

A leading digital bank is seeking a talented and ambitious Information Security Officer to join its growing Cybersecurity Department.

 

This is a key role acting as the bridge between the bank's London operations and the Group's Cyber and Information Security team. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring that cybersecurity controls are effectively implemented, risks are well-managed, and the bank's information assets remain secure.

 

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical understanding with strategic insight - ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical information while supporting the business in achieving its goals securely.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure compliance with Group Cyber and Information Security requirements.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all cybersecurity-related requests in the London office.
  • Perform compliance reviews and oversee remediation of cybersecurity weaknesses.
  • Coordinate security testing, incident management, and reporting of key cybersecurity metrics (KPIs/KCIs).
  • Review and assess cybersecurity-related requests and infrastructure changes (e.g., access management, system interconnections, change control).
  • Support post-incident analysis and help implement preventative measures.
  • Partner with IT and cybersecurity teams to maintain secure network, systems, and application configurations.
  • Oversee the delivery of security awareness training to staff.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to information security.
  • Promote a strong culture of cybersecurity awareness across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Stay informed on emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes.

 

What You will need to have:

 

  • Proven experience in information security, cybersecurity governance, or risk management.
  • Experience of working within a banking institution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with strong planning and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with financial services or regulated environments is advantageous.
