Data Mapping Lead - Avaloq Migration

£650- £700pd PAYE

The Data Mapping Lead will play a pivotal role in the migration programme, responsible for defining, documenting, and managing the data mapping specifications that form the golden source for all migration activities. This position bridges business, IT, and development teams to ensure accurate and efficient data transformation from Legacy systems into Avaloq.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation of detailed data mapping specifications used by developers to transform data from Legacy to target systems.

  • Engage with IT application owners to identify golden source systems for key data elements (eg, names, emails, addresses).

  • Define mapping rules to standardise and merge data where inconsistencies exist (eg, field formats, currency representations).

  • Design and document data relationships and record creation logic for Avaloq, including when and how new records should be created.

  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with business and IT stakeholders to drive alignment and decisions.

  • Maintain and iterate mapping documentation in response to feedback during testing and validation cycles.

  • Support the business analyst in maintaining the mapping documentation as a living, testable artefact.

  • Establish efficient processes to handle ongoing updates and change requests during migration.

Must Haves:

  • Proven experience in data migration, data mapping, or data analysis roles.

  • Strong understanding of data structures, transformation rules, and system integration concepts.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills - able to drive decisions and bring stakeholders on board.

  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, comfortable working through complex and repetitive discussions to reach clarity.
