WhatYoullBeDoing: AsaSenior3rdLineInfrastructureEngineer,youarethetechnicalengineoftheTechnicalAccountManagementteam.Thisisnotastandard"reactive"3rdlinerole;whileyouwillhandledeep-levelescalations,yourprimaryfocusisproactiveinfrastructurehealthandthedeliveryoftechnicalprojects.YouwillworkcloselywiththeTeamLeadtoensureourclients'infrastructureisalignedwithbestpracticesandmodernstandards.

Thisisahands-onrolewhereyouwilldesignandimplementarangeofITchangeprojectsforclientsinyourregion.Youwilldevelopandmaintainrelationshipsthatourclientsputtrustintodeliverthesolutionsthattheirorganisationsneed,whileprovidingexpertise-in-depthtotheServiceTeamwhoescalatefaultstoyouforresolution.

KeyResponsibilitiesoftheSenior3rdLineInfrastructureEngineer: InfrastructureProjects:Ownandexecutetechnicalprojectssuchasservermigrations,Microsoft365tenant-to-tenantmigrations,andnetworkrefreshes.

TechnicalAlignment:Conductregulartechnicalreviewsofclientenvironmentstoidentifyrisks,end-of-lifehardware/software,andsecuritygaps.

3rdLineSupport:ActasaseniorescalationpointfortheServiceDesk,resolvingcomplexissuesacrossvirtualization,storage,andcloudplatforms.

Documentation:Maintainhigh-qualitytechnicaldocumentationand"SiteFiles"forclientenvironmentstoensureseamlesssupportacrossthebusiness.

ClientAdvisory:SupporttheTeamLeadintechnicalmeetingsbyprovidingdata-driveninsightsonsystemperformanceandrequiredupgrades.

Experience&Qualifications: Minimum35yearsinatechnicalrole,ideallywithinanMSPoramulti-siteinternalenvironment.

Provenabilitytofollowaprojectplan,meetmilestones,andcommunicateprogressclearly.

BasedwithinacommutabledistanceofBedford(forsitevisitsandofficecollaboration).

Ideallyholdingrecognisablevendorqualifications Infrastructure:ExpertknowledgeofWindowsServer(2019onward),ActiveDirectory/GPO,andEntra/Microsoft365/ExchangeOnline.

Virtualisation:AdvancedexperiencewithVMwarevSphereorMicrosoftHyper-V.

Cloud:ProvenexperienceinAzureorAWS(migrations,environmentbuilds,andsecurity).

Networking:Strongunderstandingofwirednetworking,experiencewithfirewalls(Sophos/Fortinet/Cisco),andVPNs.
