WhatYoullBeDoing:

AsaSenior3rdLineInfrastructureEngineer,youarethetechnicalengineoftheTechnicalAccountManagementteam.Thisisnotastandard\"reactive\"3rdlinerole;whileyouwillhandledeep-levelescalations,yourprimaryfocusisproactiveinfrastructurehealthandthedeliveryoftechnicalprojects.YouwillworkcloselywiththeTeamLeadtoensureourclients'infrastructureisalignedwithbestpracticesandmodernstandards.

Thisisahands-onrolewhereyouwilldesignandimplementarangeofITchangeprojectsforclientsinyourregion.Youwilldevelopandmaintainrelationshipsthatourclientsputtrustintodeliverthesolutionsthattheirorganisationsneed,whileprovidingexpertise-in-depthtotheServiceTeamwhoescalatefaultstoyouforresolution.

KeyResponsibilitiesoftheSenior3rdLineInfrastructureEngineer:

• InfrastructureProjects:Ownandexecutetechnicalprojectssuchasservermigrations,Microsoft365tenant-to-tenantmigrations,andnetworkrefreshes.
• TechnicalAlignment:Conductregulartechnicalreviewsofclientenvironmentstoidentifyrisks,end-of-lifehardware/software,andsecuritygaps.
• 3rdLineSupport:ActasaseniorescalationpointfortheServiceDesk,resolvingcomplexissuesacrossvirtualization,storage,andcloudplatforms.
• Documentation:Maintainhigh-qualitytechnicaldocumentationand\"SiteFiles\"forclientenvironmentstoensureseamlesssupportacrossthebusiness.
• ClientAdvisory:SupporttheTeamLeadintechnicalmeetingsbyprovidingdata-driveninsightsonsystemperformanceandrequiredupgrades.

Experience&Qualifications:

• Minimum35yearsinatechnicalrole,ideallywithinanMSPoramulti-siteinternalenvironment.
• Provenabilitytofollowaprojectplan,meetmilestones,andcommunicateprogressclearly.
• BasedwithinacommutabledistanceofBedford(forsitevisitsandofficecollaboration).
• Ideallyholdingrecognisablevendorqualifications
• Infrastructure:ExpertknowledgeofWindowsServer(2019onward),ActiveDirectory/GPO,andEntra/Microsoft365/ExchangeOnline.
• Virtualisation:AdvancedexperiencewithVMwarevSphereorMicrosoftHyper-V.
• Cloud:ProvenexperienceinAzureorAWS(migrations,environmentbuilds,andsecurity).
• Networking:Strongunderstandingofwirednetworking,experiencewithfirewalls(Sophos/Fortinet/Cisco),andVPNs.
• WirelessNetworking:Experiencewithplanning,deploymentandsurveyingofwirelessnetworksincommercial,educationand/orhealthcaresettingswithvendorslikeMeraki/Aruba/Ruckus
• Backup&DR:Managementofenterprise-levelbackupsolutions(Veeam,Redstor,etc.).
