Senior Technical Support Consultant (SQL/Database)

We're hiring a Senior Technical Support Consultant to resolve complex database issues for a resilient tech-enabled business. This is a permanent role offering £50-55K plus flexible hybrid working in a close-knit team environment. 🚀

**The Business**

Our client provides critical back-office ERP software to UK businesses, processing essential operational data daily. Despite recent challenges, they've demonstrated remarkable resilience, maintaining their customer base and achieving 10% growth. Now under new ownership, they're planning significant expansion over the next 3-4 years.

**What You'll Actually Do**

• Resolve complex third-line support tickets involving database investigation and data manipulation

• Write SQL queries to diagnose and fix technical issues escalated from second-line

• Build relationships with family-oriented customers through phone and email support

• Train extensively for six months, learning the business inside-out including customer site visits

• Shape the future support function as the team transforms with AI integration and automation

**Tech Stack**

• SQL (essential - query writing and database analysis level)

• Database investigation and troubleshooting

• Customer-facing support systems

**Must-Have Requirements**

• Strong SQL skills (query writing, not DBA-level)

• Excellent customer-facing communication skills

• ERP or complex back-office systems experience

• Hands-on problem-solving mentality

• Comfortable in relationship-based, non-corporate environment
