Basware Consultant (contract to perm)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Basware Consultant to drive the design, configuration, and delivery of Basware Procure-to-Pay (P2P) solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on expert who combines strong functional understanding with technical configuration expertise, and who can lead end-to-end implementations while engaging senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of Basware solutions, from requirements gathering through to go-live and post-production support
• Own the solution design, ensuring alignment with client business processes and best practices
• Perform and oversee system configuration across Basware modules (e.g., Invoice Automation, P2P, e-Invoicing)
• Act as the primary client-facing lead, managing stakeholder expectations and providing strategic guidance
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Lead workshops, process mapping sessions, and solution demonstrations
• Ensure integration design and coordination with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior consultants and project team members
• Support testing phases (SIT, UAT), including defect resolution and quality assurance
• Drive continuous improvement and optimization of implemented solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Basware Consultant, with significant time spent in a lead or senior role
• Strong expertise in both solution design and hands-on configuration of Basware modules
• Deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and financial operations
• Experience integrating Basware with major ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)
• Ability to lead client workshops and stakeholder engagements at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with data mapping, workflows, and system integrations
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with e-invoicing compliance frameworks and global invoicing regulations
• Familiarity with cloud-based implementations and SaaS delivery models
• Project management experience or certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP)
• Background in finance, accounting, or procurement
