A fast-growing AI-driven regulatory technology company is hiring a Regulatory Compliance Subject Matter Expert to support the continued growth of its client base across financial services.
The business is developing technology that enables organisations to interpret complex regulatory requirements and operationalise them within digital compliance frameworks. Since launching recently, the firm has partnered with a number of major global financial institutions and secured backing from leading investors.
The Role
As the company expands and continues onboarding new clients, they are looking for a Regulatory Compliance SME with strong expertise in financial services regulation and non-financial risk.
This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role suited to someone who enjoys working deeply with regulatory frameworks while also engaging with senior stakeholders at financial institutions.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical regulatory expert, translating complex regulatory requirements into structured compliance frameworks
- Conduct regulatory analysis including obligation extraction, compliance assessments, risk evaluations, policy mapping and gap analysis
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed regulatory logic into AI-driven models
- Operate as a human-in-the-loop reviewer to validate regulatory interpretations produced by the platform
- Support client engagements with financial services firms, including identifying regulatory pain points and assisting with tailored demonstrations of the platform
- Help build strong relationships with senior compliance and risk stakeholders
Requirements
- 5–10 years’ experience in financial services compliance or regulatory advisory
- Background in compliance consulting, in-house compliance, or legal roles within regulated financial institutions
- Strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook
- Experience with multiple regulatory jurisdictions would be beneficial
- Law degree preferred
- Ability to deliver high-quality regulatory analysis in a structured and efficient manner
