We're working with one of the UK's fastest-growing health food businesses on a hire that sits right at the intersection of operations and technology — and it's genuinely one of the more exciting roles we've had on recently.

✏️ THE OPPORTUNITY

The business runs at serious pace — thousands of orders a week, rapid year-on-year growth, and a lean, high-performing team that punches well above its weight.
Right now, much of their operational infrastructure runs through Google Sheets, internal tools and custom automations. It works, but they know it can be smarter. That's where you come in.
You'll own the internal systems that keep the business running — and then make them better. That means:
→ Taking ownership of operational systems across production planning, stock tracking and reporting
→ Identifying manual processes that shouldn't exist and automating them
→ Building dashboards and internal tools that give the leadership team clear, reliable data
→ Connecting tools and workflows together using Apps Script, Zapier, Make, APIs and more
→ Exploring how AI and automation can unlock new efficiencies as the business scales
This isn't a traditional IT role. It's a hands-on, problem-solving role for someone who genuinely enjoys building things and making businesses run better through technology.

🎯 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Background is flexible — what matters is that you have strong, hands-on systems and automation experience. Specifically:
▸ Advanced Google Sheets and spreadsheet modelling
▸ Google Apps Script or similar scripting tools
▸ Experience with automation platforms (Zapier, Make or similar)
▸ Comfort working with APIs and integrations
▸ Sharp analytical thinking and real attention to data accuracy
Experience in food production, manufacturing or supply chain is a bonus. So is any exposure to AI-enabled workflows — but curiosity about it matters more than a track record.
Most importantly: you'll be someone who thinks in systems, enjoys solving operational problems and gets genuine satisfaction from making things work better.
