A large AJ100 architectural practice is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect to join them on a 12-month contract, working on a significant Data Centre project in the UK. This role offers very flexible hybrid working and sits outside IR35, offering a competitive hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate design stages from RIBA 3 to 6 for a major data centre development.
• Ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, and performance standards specific to data centre builds.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver high-performance, resilient facilities.
• Oversee design delivery and maintain quality throughout construction stages.
• Contribute to risk management, programme oversight, and cost coordination.

Requirements:

• Chartered Architect (ARB registered) with 7+ years of experience.
• Demonstrable experience delivering data centre or mission-critical facilities (preferably in the UK).
• Strong technical knowledge including MEP coordination, cooling systems, security zoning, and resilience strategies.
• Proficient in Revit and BIM delivery on complex, large-scale projects.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
