Senior Account Executive
A rare opportunity to be the first Account Executive on the ground in the UK for an AI-native automation platform built specifically for enterprise retail and FMCG businesses. This company was founded by one of Europe's most successful retail operators – someone who built one of the continent's largest online grocery businesses to a valuation north of €1bn. Backed by a $15m seed round from three of Europe's top-tier VC firms, the business is already north of $1m ARR with major global logos on the books and a Series A expected over the summer. The platform delivers AI-driven automation that achieves 40% efficiency gains across supply chain, finance and operations – with ROI in as little as 4 weeks.
The Role:
You will own the entire UK & Ireland patch end-to-end: from first conversation through pilot, contract and expansion. This is a true 0-to-1 territory build – you will be responsible for self-sourcing your own pipeline through outbound into enterprise retail and FMCG accounts with minimal SDR support. You will run discovery calls with Heads of Supply Chain, Finance and Operations, selling on P&L impact rather than features. You will co-design paid pilots with pre-sales that deliver guaranteed outcomes and a path into production. New deals land in the £100-250k ACV range with a strong land-and-expand motion. You will work directly with the Head of Commercial and the founding team to shape the go-to-market motion as the company scales.
The Candidate:
You will have 7+ years of experience closing enterprise SaaS deals into large organisations with six-figure ACVs, multi-stakeholder buying committees and multi-month sales cycles. Critically, you must have founding-stage or 0-to-1 AE experience – you've built pipeline and closed deals at an early-stage company with no brand recognition. You will have a proven ability to self-source pipeline and build territory without relying on inbound or SDR support. Experience selling to operational and commercial buyers (Supply Chain, Finance, Ops) rather than purely IT is essential. Direct experience selling into retail or FMCG enterprises is a strong differentiator. MEDDPICC fluency and structured deal qualification discipline are expected. This is not the right role for career big-logo AEs from monopoly vendors who have never worked in a greenfield environment. Based in the UK with ability to travel to customer sites across UK & Ireland.
The Package:
On offer is a base salary in the range of £90-120k with uncapped commission on a 50/50 split, giving an OTE of £180-240k. Equity is included at seed stage – this is a genuine ground-floor opportunity with a company approaching Series A. The role is fully remote across the UK with travel to customer sites in London and across UK & Ireland.
