Join us at Barclays as a Senior Data Architect, where you will define, direct, and govern the bank’s target data architecture, including shared data environments, enterprise data models, and data standards in alignment with business strategy. This role ensures that data is accurate, secure, and accessible to meet the evolving needs of internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful as a Senior Data Architect , you should have experience with:

  • Advanced experience in data architecture or enterprise data modelling, ideally within a major bank or investment institution.
  • Deep knowledge of banking products, risk frameworks, regulatory data obligations, and financial markets data.
  • Proven expertise in data modelling tools and methodologies, with a track record of scaling models across global business functions.

Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include

  • Proficiency with AWS cloud services, including Lake Formation and Data Lake implementation.
  • Scripting capabilities in Python or Shell for data validation and automation.
  • Familiarity with database systems: Relational: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL Columnar, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake NoSQL, MongoDB and Cassandra.
