Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a versatile Maintenance Engineer to join the team at this specialist manufacturing site midway between Huntingdon and Peterborough.

In this role, you’ll be the primary contact for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, ensuring the plant and equipment stay in top shape to keep production moving.

  • Diagnosing and fixing faults in PLC systems, control panels, motors, and sensors.

  • Carrying out regular service tasks (PPM) to ensure everything runs safely and reliably.
  • Helping to install and set up new machinery and automation upgrades.
  • Suggesting ways to improve machinery and stop the same faults from happening twice.

What You Need

  • A time-served Engineering apprenticeship or a similar qualification.
  • Solid experience working in a fast-paced heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical skills in both electrical fault finding and mechanical repairs.
  • The ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
