Contract Duration: 12+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: £ 17.00 per hour

Responsibilities
 
  • Support Project Managers and Project teams to effectively establish, plan, manage, deliver, and control change programmes and projects in line with the project framework.
  • Assist the PMO Project Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining programme and project management structures and tools to enable effective management and delivery of change programmes and projects across the BTQ Regeneration programme.
  • Prepare project reports, including status reports, risks, assumptions, issues, and decision (RAID) logs, and project dashboards, tracking and analysis of spend and budgetary information across the full project portfolio.
  • Be accountable for the records management processes and set up of BTQ projects and programmes, ensuring compliance with information and data requirements.
  • Support the PMO Project Manager in maintaining the BTQ SharePoint site, ensuring it is kept up to date.
  • Assist the Governance Manager with the forward decision plan process, ensuring it is kept up to date and any items are placed on the relevant meeting agenda.
  • Liaise with the HR Manager to support the onboarding of new starters.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support.
  • Maintain personal responsibility for the safe and secure movement of data within, into, and out of the organisation.
 
Person Specification
 
Essential Qualifications and Knowledge
 
  • Good standard of general education and relevant practical experience in a project management environment.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Microsoft Project entry and reporting.
 
Experience
 
  • Providing project support for a wide range of projects and programmes.
  • Excellent information management skills.
  • Developing documents and presentations in a range of styles and formats.
  • Meeting support, including minute taking and action logs.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Project.
 
Skills and Competencies
 
  • Good numerical, written, and oral communications skills at all levels, with the ability to create reports and presentations to a high standard with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, capable of planning and prioritising own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible and agile with the ability to respond at pace to competing demands.
  • Able to work as part of a team and build relationships with colleagues in partner organisations, with a focus on excellent customer service.
  • Appreciation of the importance of discretion and confidentiality.
 
Desirable Qualifications and Knowledge
 
  • Working towards a project management qualification such as APM.
  • Experience of providing a range of support in an innovative and fast-paced project environment.
