Responsibilities
- Manage the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) system, focusing on Planning, Narrative Reporting, and Workforce Modelling modules.
- Perform EPM Service Administrator tasks, including configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the system.
- Maintain master data sets, navigation flows, and other records to ensure business processes run smoothly.
- Provide support and cover for EPM Systems Administration via the Oracle OCI console and manage user access and permissions.
- Monitor the EPM Systems Admin shared mailbox, action tasks, and send notifications to close requests.
- Update master data in EPM to reflect organizational changes and ensure no orphaned codes exist.
- Enable monthly Oracle release skips in EPM per agreed schedule.
- Collaborate with Oracle Systems Admin Team to migrate applications, views, and data across environments.
- Manage EPM configurations to ensure smooth system operation.
- Grant appropriate access to users based on roles and responsibilities.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for efficiency.
- Monitor data extracts and troubleshoot issues with various teams as needed.
- Maintain EPM valid intersection code combination rules and ensure synchronization with ERP code validation rules.
- Create and maintain virement templates and categories, ensuring reports are updated accordingly.
- Maintain future period templates in EPM, including for MTFS.
- Ensure ERP cost centre and hierarchy changes are reflected in EPM.
- Update cost centre manager names for forecasting and reporting.
- Maintain report and notification bursting definitions and csv files with changes to code values.
- Maintain documentation with audit trails for all changes made to the EPM system.
- Develop Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) content for EPM.
- Liaise with the Oracle Managed Service Provider on future roadmap delivery plans and technical changes.
- Collaborate with the Financial Strategy Team to diagnose problems and find solutions.
- Manage system upgrades and apply necessary fixes to maintain a stable and secure environment.
- Test EPM systems admin functionality as part of DDAT implementation of new applications, patches, and updates.
- Work closely with the Finance Help Desk Team to resolve tickets and service requests.
- Ensure regular backups of the EPM system and that versioned data can be restored if needed.
- Regularly review and report on audit reports and logs to governance forums.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the general level of responsibility of this post.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to Council policies in relation to Equal Opportunity, Customer Care, and service delivery.
- Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualified or comparable relevant experience.
- Qualification in computing at intermediate diploma or above level or equivalent expertise and experience.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Provide services with a customer-centric approach and implement improvements while managing service demands and tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of how Oracle EPM processes and interfaces work.
- Experience in systems administration for Planning, Forecasting, and Budgeting systems or modules.
- Experience using core financial accounting systems with integrated modules.
- Proficiency in using IT, including Microsoft Office products, to analyze data and report information.
- Experience working in a similar role within a public or private sector organization.
- Understanding of accounting principles, policies, practices, and legislation applicable to local government.
- Experience undertaking work on key financial processes and controls, and ability to monitor and report on these.
- High degree of numeracy and attention to detail with experience working with large volumes of data.
- Good interpersonal skills with colleagues, residents, businesses, and other stakeholders.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and take ownership of transactions.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and be proactive in problem-solving.
- Experience maintaining good quality documentation with audit trail to evidence approval of system changes.
