Data Operations | Reporting to Head of Data Operations

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Business Architect to help shape and drive our Business Data Architecture practice.

This is a key role at the intersection of Business, Data, and IT — ensuring organisational design, transformation, and improvement initiatives align with our data strategy vision and deliver measurable value in both the short and long term.

The Opportunity

  • Provide direction, guidance, and definition of business architecture to support data and business strategies
  • Drive the development and maturity of our Business Data Architecture practice
  • Apply business modelling techniques to define organisational capabilities and create reusable corporate knowledge assets
  • Act as a subject matter expert in business architecture frameworks, tooling, and methodology development
  • Review and evaluate ideas, projects, and opportunities involving new products, technologies, and business models
  • Support initiatives from ideation through to development and prototyping
  • Identify and champion opportunities for data innovation across business teams
  • Analyse business challenges and determine optimal solutions, including process improvement, systems enhancement, training, or procurement
  • Support the design and build of integration solutions and business applications aligned to target needs
  • Act as a data-focused liaison between Business, IT, and Data teams
  • Promote strong cross-functional collaboration across Data, IT, Change, and Business teams

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in business architecture, business design, and modelling techniques, tools, and standards
  • Deep understanding of data governance principles
  • Proven analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Demonstrable experience delivering business change across the full lifecycle
  • Experience driving operational efficiencies and balancing requirements, cost, and benefit
  • Ability to manage business and supplier relationships at all levels, from end users to senior executives
  • Experience within Insurance / London Market
  • ITIL knowledge
  • TOGAF certification (or equivalent)

This is a highly visible role that shapes how data strategy is translated into practical business outcomes. You will influence strategic direction, enable innovation, and help embed a data-driven mindset across the organisation.
