Model Release and Test Manager – Actuarial Transformation

A leading global reinsurance organisation is undergoing a major back-office transformation, modernising how its Finance and Actuarial teams work together. At the heart of this programme are new actuarial model developments — and this role is key to ensuring they’re tested, validated, and delivered to the highest standards.

The company is seeking an experienced Model Release and Test Manager to lead all aspects of testing across multiple model development projects. This is an opportunity to shape how testing is planned and executed, build strong relationships across global teams, and make a visible impact on a high-profile transformation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of all model testing and release activities.
• Define testing scope, develop test plans, and oversee execution to ensure quality outcomes.
• Maintain detailed audit trails and reporting using JIRA.
• Drive collaboration across Actuarial, Finance, and Systems teams.
• Anticipate challenges, manage risks, and keep testing on track.
• Coach and support a Test Analyst within your team.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and testing methodologies (Agile and Waterfall).
• 7+ years’ experience leading testing through the full project lifecycle.
• Proven success in testing financial or actuarial reporting systems.
• Expertise in test management, defect tracking, and stakeholder communication.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Calm under pressure, with excellent organisational and relationship-building skills.

Desirable

• Background in the (re)insurance industry.
