Overview
We are seeking a number of Senior Project Managers to join leading organisations within the Lloyd’s insurance market. This role will lead the delivery of complex, high-value transformation initiatives across underwriting, operations, and regulatory change, or IT focussed initiatives. The successful candidate will bring strong domain knowledge of the London Market and a proven track record of delivering projects in fast-paced, stakeholder-heavy environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic projects and programmes within the Lloyd’s market environment
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders including underwriters, brokers, and executive leadership
- Drive business change initiatives including process optimisation, system implementations, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure alignment with market standards (e.g., Blueprint Two, digital transformation initiatives)
- Oversee governance, reporting, and communication to steering committees and sponsors
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and third-party vendors
- Promote best practice project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
Required Experience
- Extensive project management experience within the London Market / Lloyd’s insurance environment
- Strong understanding of insurance processes including underwriting, claims, and policy administration
- Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation or change programmes
- Familiarity with market initiatives such as digital placement, data standards, or regulatory change
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience managing budgets and project financials
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Lloyd’s systems and platforms (e.g., PPL, Delegated Authority systems)
- Professional certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile)
- Experience with data, digital, or systems transformation programmes
