We’re working with a leading global organisation in the specialty insurance and risk solutions space, currently expanding their technology team. They’re looking for a Solution Architect to help drive innovation and modernisation across their platforms and services.

💡 The Role

As a Solution Architect, you’ll play a key role in shaping technology strategy and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions across a complex enterprise environment.

You’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership to design and implement architecture that supports long-term transformation goals.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve application and system roadmaps aligned to transformation initiatives
  • Design scalable, modular, and reusable solutions across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop business cases and high-level operating models
  • Ensure alignment with architecture standards, governance, and best practices
  • Own solution design through to approval and implementation
  • Promote and enable Agile and DevSecOps ways of working
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement through emerging technologies
  • Provide technical leadership, including design reviews, code quality, and performance optimisation
  • Identify and mitigate technology risks
  • Produce clear and comprehensive architecture documentation

🧠 What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in solution architecture within enterprise environments
  • Proven track record designing systems across cloud and on-prem platforms
  • Experience with API-driven, microservices, and event-based architectures
  • Knowledge of integration patterns (e.g. service bus, API mediation, event streaming)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC practices
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and influence technical teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience working with platforms such as ERP, policy/admin systems, or customer portals is beneficial
  • Cloud expertise and architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) are a plus
