2x Android Developer

My client, a large consultancy, is in need of x2 Android Developers for a 6 month rolling contract inside IR35 based in Leeds offering 2 days per week remote but requiring 3 days per week on-site.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing a mobile experience for variable screen sizes in variable versions of Android, Excellent knowledge of Kotlin/Java, Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices, Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning, Awesome knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks and benchmarking and optimisation, Proficient in Google's Android design principles, interface guidelines and code versioning tools, such as Git, Applying SOLID Principles, MVVM/MVI architecture, Android Architecture Components and other Jetpack libraries, Jetpack Compose, Working in a modularised codebase and UI testing.

The ideal candidate will desirably have strong experience in the understanding of basic App architectures (ie MVP/MVVM/MVI/Clean Architecture) and experience with common libraries such as (Dagger2, Retrofit, Coroutines - RxJava), Cloud message APIs and push notifications, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design as well as knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
