Job Title: Windows Engineer

Location: Sheffield/Hybrid (3 days onsite per week mandatory)

Contract: 6-12 months + extension

IR35: Inside IR35

We are looking for an experienced Windows Engineer to join a large-scale infrastructure environment, supporting the administration, optimisation, security, troubleshooting, and automation of Windows server platforms.

You will work across application and infrastructure teams to deliver technical solutions, translate business requirements into technical specifications, resolve issues proactively, contribute to stakeholder and delivery meetings, and help drive continuous improvement through best practice and emerging technologies.

Key skills required:

• Strong experience with Windows Operating Systems
• Experience in financial/regulated organisations
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Jenkins
• Strong Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell and Bash
• Experience with VMware, virtualisation technologies, and OpenShift
• Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, ports, Firewalls, and network security
• Experience with MuleSoft and Postman for API development, testing, and integration
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work across technical and business teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders
