Overview

We are seeking an experienced Service Transition Analyst to lead and support the design, transition, and continuous improvement of IT services within a complex, regulated environment. This role is critical in ensuring that new and changed services are delivered into operations effectively, meeting business needs, compliance requirements, and cost expectations.

You will act as a key interface between project delivery teams and IT operations, ensuring that all service introduction activities are completed to a high standard and aligned with best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the service design and transition activities for new and existing IT services
  • Act as the primary interface between project teams and IT operations for service acceptance
  • Manage the Service Introduction process across a portfolio of projects
  • Produce and maintain Service Introduction Checklists , documentation, and acceptance criteria
  • Ensure all services meet operational readiness , including support models, SLAs, and documentation
  • Create and present service acceptance proposals to stakeholders
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate service risks
  • Develop and maintain IT support models , service catalogues, and operational procedures
  • Work with stakeholders to define Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for services
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements
  • Provide RAG status reporting and track service transition milestones
  • Collaborate with technical teams to validate test strategies, performance, and capacity prior to go-live
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across service transition and design processes

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in IT Service Transition / Service Delivery roles
  • Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and Service Management principles
  • Experience with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow, JIRA)
  • Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments
  • Strong knowledge of service design and operational readiness
  • Experience defining and managing SLAs, OLAs, and support models
  • Ability to manage stakeholders across multiple teams and suppliers
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a regulated environment is highly desirable
