Shopify Developer (United Kingdom)

We’re looking for a Shopify Developer to join iakoe. We're an agency that specialises in designing, building and optimising Shopify stores. We work with the most exciting design-led brands across the UK and US. We’re a tight knit team not taking ourselves too seriously, occasionally fighting fires together and doing work we’re really proud of.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Working with the UX team to create unique, strong and innovative front-end user experiences for our clients
• Optimising site performance
• Owning ongoing site maintenance, expansion and scaling
• Cooperating with UX and marketing teams to gather and refine specification and requirements for development
• Ensuring a smooth connection with marketing tools, platform APIs and Shopify apps to optimise our client’s stores for overall efficiency and functionality
• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies / industry trends to enhance operations and activities
• Pushing A/B and multi-variate tests live and trouble shooting bugs

Essential Requirements

• 4+ years experience in with the Shopify platform and liquid
• 4+ years experience of front end development using Javascript, HTML5 and CSS3
• Extensive knowledge in web development, troubleshooting and bug fixing
• Strong background and knowledge of liquid templating engine
• Strong experience implementing / debugging third-party Shopify apps, as well as building unique solutions if needed
• Strong background in developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile devices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
