Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Manager of MSSP Sales to lead and scale our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) channel. This is a player-coach role, combining direct individual contribution with team leadership and development.
You will be responsible for driving revenue through strategic MSSP partnerships while building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing team. Success in this role requires deep experience navigating MSSP sales cycles, a strong understanding of the cybersecurity ecosystem, and the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Own and exceed individual revenue targets through direct engagement with key MSSP partners
- Identify, recruit, and close new MSSP partnerships across SMB and mid-market segments
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive pipeline growth and bookings
- Lead complex sales cycles, including executive alignment, solution positioning, and deal negotiation
- Deliver compelling presentations, demos, and business cases to MSSP executives and stakeholders
- Build and scale long-term strategic relationships with MSSPs
- Enable partners to effectively sell, deploy, and support iboss solutions
- Lead regular business reviews with partners to drive growth, accountability, and alignment
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success to create enablement programs, training, and go-to-market initiatives
- Hire, develop, and lead a team of MSSP/channel sales professionals
- Provide hands-on coaching across deal strategy, pipeline development, and partner engagement
- Establish performance standards, KPIs, and accountability across the team
- Drive a high-performance, metrics-driven sales culture focused on consistency and execution
Qualifications
- 5+ years of B2B technology sales experience, including 3+ years in MSSP, channel, or partner sales
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding quota in cybersecurity or cloud security
- Prior experience in a player-coach or leadership role (formal or informal)
- Strong understanding of the MSSP ecosystem, including partner business models and growth drivers
- Ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Excellent communication and executive presence with both internal and external audiences
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without authority
- Willingness to travel (~10%)
