Our client, a leading organisation within the legal sector, is seeking a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to support the evolution of its technology estate. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a track record of modernising on-premise environments and delivering secure, scalable cloud solutions within a complex professional services setting.

The Role

You will play a key role in the design, optimisation, and support of cloud and infrastructure platforms, ensuring resilience, performance, and compliance. Working alongside platform engineering specialists, youll contribute to cloud transformation programmes and help move the firm towards an increasingly automated, cloud-first model.

Key Responsibilities

• Support cloud architecture, infrastructure design, and security best practice.
• Maintain high standards of system performance, stability, and availability.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and support cloud migration activity.
• Introduce automation and tooling to optimise performance, cost, and resource utilisation.
• Collaborate with IT and vendor partners to assess new solutions and introduce enhancements.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues and contribute to service continuity, BC/DR planning, and change management.

About You

• 5+ years experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering, ideally within professional services.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, automation, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with virtualisation, networking, and security technologies.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments and with global teams.
• Azure certifications are advantageous.
