Job Title: IT Support Engineer – Deployment Project (SC Cleared)

Location: Onsite – Berkshire, UK - Secure Environment

Contract: Inside IR35 – £25/hr

Overview

We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to join a large-scale Windows 11 deployment programme in a secure environment. The role involves setting up and managing migration clinics, refreshing laptops, and ensuring all deployment activities run smoothly in line with the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up and preparing the Refresh Clinic environment.
• Moving specified quantities of new devices from onsite storage to the Clinic location as directed by the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.
• Logging into any required system via devices provided by the contractor’s engineer and Site Manager and under their strict instructions.
• Performing necessary laptop refresh procedures.
• Collecting existing devices from users and handing over new devices in accordance with the migration schedule and project processes.
• Handing over and collecting the correct number of devices each, ensuring alignment with the migration schedule.
• Correctly updating the Contractor’s workflow management system at all relevant steps.
• Reporting issues arising from migration activity promptly and accurately to the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.
• Where issues cannot be resolved immediately, passing them over to an onsite Post Migration Support Engineer.
• Conducting manual stock checks daily and reporting findings to the Contractor Engineer and Site Manager.
• Placing existing devices collected from users at the Refresh Clinic within the packaging used for new devices and marking the outside of the box to indicate whether it is for “disposal” or for Refurbishment, as per Device Designation Rules.
• At the end of each day, securely moving all the devices and equipment back into the designated onsite storage location.
