Job Title: IT Systems Support

Location: Lister Hospital, East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust

Contract: until 30th of June - may be extended

Pay: £17.54

About the role

You support and maintain core IT systems across the Trust. You keep systems stable, secure, and available for staff and services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for IT systems and users
• Maintain servers, storage, and infrastructure
• Manage user accounts, access, and permissions
• Monitor backups, updates, and system performance
• Support system upgrades and project work
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve tickets quickly
• Work with internal teams and suppliers to fix problems
• Keep documentation accurate and up to date

What you need

• Experience in IT support or infrastructure roles
• Knowledge of Windows Server or Linux environments
• Understanding of networking basics like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Experience with virtualization such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Strong problem solving skills
• Clear communication with users and teams

Desirable

• IT certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or VMware
• Experience in healthcare IT environments
