IT Project Manager

Location: Bristol (Hybrid – 1–2 days per week onsite in Bristol)

Rate: £400 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract Length: Initial 6-month contract

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced IT Project Manager/Delivery Lead to support the delivery of critical Digital & IT initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.

This role will lead the coordination and delivery of infrastructure, application, and AI-related workstreams, working across technical, architecture, delivery, and business teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to governance and assurance standards.

You’ll play a key role in managing delivery across a large-scale, highly regulated programme environment, engaging with senior stakeholders and technical specialists to drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of Digital & IT projects and technical workstreams
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including architecture, engineering, delivery, and business stakeholders
  • Maintain and manage core project artefacts including:
  • Project plans
  • RAID logs
  • Financial trackers
  • Status reporting
  • Governance documentation
  • Track progress against milestones, budgets, and delivery objectives
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
  • Ensure adherence to governance, assurance, and technical approval processes
  • Support solution delivery across cloud, infrastructure, integration, data, and end-user technologies
  • Produce regular reporting for Sponsors, Programme Managers, and senior leadership
  • Coordinate delivery dependencies across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and drive alignment across technical and business teams

Required Experience

  • Proven experience delivering IT or technical projects within complex enterprise environments
  • Strong project management capability across full project lifecycle delivery
  • Experience managing workstreams within large transformation or change programmes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, risks, and governance processes
  • Ability to work effectively across both technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills
  • Experience using MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and related delivery tooling

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Defence, or Infrastructure
  • Understanding of enterprise IT architecture and technology governance
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, infrastructure, integrations, or AI-enabled solutions
  • Previous experience supporting large-scale digital transformation programmes
