The Role
This is a high-ownership, high-impact engineering position at the heart of our digital mental health platform, a product that helps real users manage anxiety and depression every day.
You'll work across the full stack:
- Frontend: TypeScript & React
- Backend: C#, Python & TypeScript across .NET 8/10, FastAPI & Node
You won't just write code. You'll drive technical decisions, mentor engineers, and help shape the direction of a product that operates to the highest standards of safety and reliability in the US healthcare market.
What You'll Be Doing
🔧 Build & own full stack features - from TypeScript/React frontends to C#, Python, and TypeScript backends across .NET 8/10, FastAPI, and Node
🏗️ Take end-to-end ownership of product areas - architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration
🧭 Lead technical discussions - driving decisions on system design, code quality, and engineering best practices
🤝 Collaborate across disciplines - working closely with product managers, designers, and clinical stakeholders to turn requirements into robust, scalable software
👨 🏫 Mentor junior engineers - through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
📈 Champion continuous improvement - raising the bar on quality, testing, and observability across the team
⚙️ Tackle technical debt and performance - identifying and resolving bottlenecks and reliability issues while balancing speed with long-term maintainability
🔄 Contribute to agile delivery - sprint planning, retrospectives, and roadmap discussions to keep the team moving with purpose
🔒 Uphold compliance and safety standards - ensuring all work meets the security and regulatory requirements of a US healthcare environment
🚀 Stay ahead of the curve - keeping current with emerging technologies and advocating for their adoption where they add real value
You'll Thrive Here If You...
✅ Bring 7+ years of full stack experience with production-grade expertise in TypeScript & React on the frontend, and C#, Python, and/or TypeScript (across .NET, FastAPI, and/or Node) on the backend
✅ Have a proven track record of leading technical work setting direction, making smart trade-offs, and shipping results in fast-moving environments
✅ Hold a deep understanding of software architecture, RESTful APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern CI/CD practices
✅ Lead with ownership you treat your work like a product, not a task
✅ Love mentoring others and raising the engineering bar
✅ Are energised by complex technical challenges with real-world consequences
✅ Embrace AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to move faster
✅ Can communicate clearly with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus Points For...
⭐ Experience with HIPAA or regulated healthcare software
⭐ Background in digital health or mission-driven consumer products
⭐ Familiarity with AI/ML integration in production systems
⭐ Knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 9001, or SOC2 frameworks
