Full Stack Engineer

Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: Winchester

Working pattern: Office-based

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Employment type: Permanent

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a growing technology team building data-driven software used by enterprise customers.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working across the stack, cares about creating genuinely useful interfaces, and wants a meaningful say in how products and systems are built.

You'll work closely with other engineers and have the opportunity to influence architecture, product decisions and the way users interact with the software.

The role

You'll be involved throughout the development lifecycle, from understanding a problem and shaping the solution through to development, deployment and supporting it in production.

Your work will include:

  • Building responsive, data-rich review and management interfaces using Angular, TypeScript and Angular Material.
  • Developing and extending backend services using Python and/or Java, including APIs and business logic.
  • Designing interfaces for users who work with large volumes of information and make repeated decisions throughout their working day.
  • Working with MySQL and other data technologies to support reliable, scalable applications.
  • Working across shared services and integrations, making sure different parts of the platform work together consistently.
  • Working hands-on with Microsoft Azure, including resource provisioning, access management, secrets and production troubleshooting.
  • Supporting applications across development, staging and production environments.
  • Contributing to architectural decisions and technical direction alongside senior engineering colleagues.
  • Working directly with customers when appropriate, including demonstrating features and understanding how the software is used in practice.

This isn't a role where you'll simply receive tickets and implement predefined solutions. We are looking for someone who enjoys understanding the underlying problem and taking ownership of the solution.

What we're looking for Essential

  • Strong full-stack software development experience.
  • Commercial experience with Angular and/or comparable modern frontend frameworks.
  • Experience with Python and/or Java for backend development.
  • Ability to take a feature from an initial idea or rough requirement through to production.
  • A genuine interest in UI and interaction design and how software affects the way people work.
  • Good experience working with MySQL or a comparable relational database.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure, ideally Azure, including provisioning, configuration, access management, secrets and troubleshooting.
  • An understanding of data quality and an interest in building systems where data can be trusted.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Ability and willingness to work from our Winchester office.

Desirable

You don't need experience in everything below, but any of the following would be useful:

  • TypeScript and Angular Material.
  • Spring Boot / Java or FastAPI / Python.
  • Neo4j or other graph database technologies.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code, particularly Bicep, Terraform or similar.
  • Azure or another major cloud platform.
  • Master data, product information management (PIM), ERP integration or industrial/supply-chain systems.
  • UX/UI design or experience prototyping interfaces directly in the browser.
  • Distributed systems, microservices or event-driven architectures.

What you'll get

This is an opportunity to join a growing engineering team where your technical judgement will genuinely matter.

You'll have:

  • A hands-on role with significant ownership across frontend, backend and cloud infrastructure.
  • The opportunity to contribute to architectural decisions rather than simply follow an established technical direction.
  • Close collaboration with experienced engineers and product stakeholders.
  • Direct exposure to enterprise customers and the real-world problems they are trying to solve.
  • A supportive environment where pragmatic engineering and good product thinking are valued.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • The opportunity to participate in an employee equity/share option scheme.
  • A collaborative office environment in Winchester.

If you're a pragmatic full-stack engineer who enjoys solving difficult problems, building software that people rely on every day, and having a genuine influence on the product and technology
