Project Manager

Position Overview & Responsibilities:

Dynamic and experienced Project Manager responsible for leading, planning, executing, and closing projects within a growing services team. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have experience in building strong relationships with external stakeholders and be proficient in taking ownership and accountability for a project from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will be driven by high standards and have, at a minimum, 2 years of a proven track record of delivering complex, high-impact projects and programmes on time and within budget. They will demonstrate strategic thinking, strong stakeholder influence, and the ability to drive organisational improvement beyond individual projects.

Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams facilitating communication and collaboration across all team members including technical engineers, account directors and service teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact Proactively address issues as they arise to keep projects on track.

Reporting and Governance: Provide regular project updates to internal and external stakeholders, including status reports, project metrics, and post-project evaluations. Adhere to the full project governance framework.

Process Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies within the department and wider business.

Project Leadership & Strategic Execution

Define and deliver strategically significant or multi-workstream programmes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client outcomes. Oversee interdependencies between projects, ensuring effective resource allocation and prioritisation of resources outside of the project team.

Stakeholder & Client Management

Serve as the executive point of escalation for key clients and strategic partners within the project, especially when supported by other project team resource on a project. Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (C-suite or director-level), influencing decision-making and ensuring alignment with long-term goals.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

Lead and mentor project managers and project coordinators, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Support career development of junior team members and foster cross-functional excellence within the business, opening opportunities for growth/movement within the business.

Continuous Improvement

Identify trends across projects and recommend process, technology, or resource improvements that enhance efficiency and quality of delivery. Champion quality assurance and continuous improvement practices.

Business Development Support

Partner with other business units on scoping, proposals and pre-sales engagement for complex opportunities.

Departmental Leadership Support

Provide leadership cover for the Department Head when out of office, ensuring continuity in decision-making, team support, and operational oversight. Support the Department Head in key Tier 1 customer meetings and internal project board sessions, contributing to strategic discussions, performance updates, and issue resolution.

Account Expansion

Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within client accounts by spotting needs for additional services or solutions.
