PHP Developer

Senior Backend Developer (PHP) | Hampshire | Up to £60k + 10% Bonus

Multi-award winning cybersecurity company protecting 6M+ users worldwide is looking for 2 experienced PHP developers to join their lean, high-performing backend team.

The Scale You'll Work At:

• 6 million customers (and growing fast)
• 12-15k new users onboarding daily
• Your code directly powers the websites, customer portals & APIs that millions rely on

The Tech:

• PHP
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• MySQL
• NoSQL (Cassandra)
• nginx, RabbitMQ
• Kubernetes

What You'll Do:

• Solve complex problems across the stack
• Tackle long-overdue refactoring projects (they're prioritising this now)
• Work closely with a principal engineer and small, tight-knit team Help shape best practices as the team scales

What You Need:

✅ 5+ years commercial PHP experience

✅ PHPUnit & TDD in your workflow

✅ Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred)

✅ Strong debugging & code optimization skills

✅ Comfortable with MySQL & NoSQL databases
