Vice President of Products

VP of Product - AI Hardware + Data Platform - £150k + equity - London (1 day/week on-site)

Most VP of Product roles ask you to own a roadmap. This one asks you to own an architecture, the connective tissue between a hardware platform and a data platform, where every decision you make on one side directly compounds the value on the other. That's a rare problem to get paid to solve, and an even rarer one to solve well.

The company has built AI-powered hardware and a software platform that work together to solve a genuine tech4good problem, real environmental and social impact at the core of the business, not bolted on for a marketing line.

What you'd actually own:

  • The unified product roadmap spanning the hardware, the AI layer that turns camera feeds into usable data, the operator-facing portal, and the packaging intelligence platform sitting on top
  • The architecture connecting hardware output to software value, working alongside a dedicated PM on one product's execution while you hold the strategic line across the whole platform
  • Quality control between product and engineering; specs get grounded in what the data can actually support before they're built, not after
  • A genuine peer relationship with engineering and research, shaping technical direction rather than just handing over requirements
  • A high-performing product and design team
  • The metrics that matter: growth, retention, data accuracy, and where to invest next
  • Real time in the field, on-site with customers and in the room with senior buyers, so you're shaping the market rather than chasing it
  • You'd report directly to the cofounder and CPO.

What we're looking for:

  • A strong product leadership track record, ideally VP or Head of Product level, inside a scaling B2B tech business
  • Experience running a platform where one product feeds into and strengthens another, and knowing how to sequence investment across both
  • Enough technical depth in AI and machine learning to hold your own with a research team; this isn't a role for someone who stays one step removed from the tech
  • Bonus points if you've worked somewhere with a physical or hardware component alongside the software; you'll understand the operational realities that pure SaaS backgrounds often miss
  • Comfortable thinking commercially about hybrid revenue models where hardware and software work together

If that sounds like the room you want to be in, get in touch.
