Cyber Security Analyst
Our client in Merseyside is seeking a Cyber & IT Security Officer to support the secure operation of IT systems across health and care services. The role will provide advice, monitoring and support across cyber security systems, incidents, assurance activity and information
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support on specialist IT security systems and new system assessments.
- Monitor security incidents and event queues within the ITSM system, advising customers or escalating where required.
- Support the development and implementation of information security plans, strategies, policies and procedures.
- Assist with the design and implementation of information security solutions.
- Research emerging internet threats and software vulnerabilities, summarising findings for senior security colleagues.
- Support investigations into security incidents and provide evidence for Information Governance groups where required.
- Help collect evidence for the Data Security and Protection Toolkit and other assurance activities.
- Respond to complex cyber security alerts, including NDR systems, cloud alerts, risky logins, MFA failures and NHS England SOC alerts.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Incident Management software (Sunrise)
- Microsoft Defender for Endpoint alert investigation and response
- Network Detection and Response software
- Microsoft 365 Security Centre alerts such as User At Risk, Cloud App Security
Role will be on site for first week and then once a week
