IT Support & Data Administrator

Role overview

We are recruiting an organised, customer-focused IT/Systems professional to action incoming IT tickets and provide day-to-day systems and data administration. This is an operational, hands-on role that sits within a small IT & Systems team and is ideal for someone who has worked in a similar position and is comfortable supporting internal colleagues by phone and email.

Key responsibilities

  • Review, prioritise and action IT tickets using the internal ticketing system, keeping staff updated on progress.
  • Provide practical troubleshooting and first/second-line support across internal systems and cloud services.
  • Support new starters with timely access to software and systems; remove leavers and manage hardware retrieval.
  • Run daily bulk client data uploads and carry out manual data cleansing projects to keep system information accurate.
  • Maintain master lists for company hardware, software licences and access rights; undertake monthly licence reviews.
  • Update SharePoint and other internal sites with approved documents and changes.
  • Complete monthly IT security checks and follow up with line managers on outstanding training.
  • Assist with testing new processes, updating IT documentation and supporting technology changes or office moves.
  • Work collaboratively across teams, provide cover for colleagues and contribute to relevant company projects.

Skills, experience & qualities

  • Proven experience in a similar operational IT or data role, ideally within a professional services or financial services environment.
  • Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using ticketing systems and managing your own queue of tickets is highly desirable.
  • Experience with data entry, data cleansing and maintaining accurate records.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and automation tools such as Power Automate is desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; confident supporting colleagues by phone and email.
  • High standards of confidentiality and an ability to work with sensitive client and employee data.
  • Organised, deadline-driven and comfortable working in a changing environment.

  • Basic salary to £30,000 per annum
