Job Title: Platform Engineering Consultant

Location: Remote - Europe or East Coast USA

Our client are a Free and Open Source Software consultancy.

The Role

Mission: Client-facing Platform/SRE consultant designing, deploying, and supporting production infrastructure.

Day-to-Day: Incident response, system reliability, balancing technical tradeoffs with client deadlines, and eventually mentoring others.

Must-Haves

Kubernetes: Deep, hands-on production experience (troubleshooting, networking, storage).

IaC: Strict "everything-as-code" mindset (Terraform, Ansible).

Core Infra: Linux systems, CI/CD, and observability.

Profile: Self-directed, remote-ready problem solver with strong client management and communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

Ecosystem: Helm, Prometheus/Grafana, GitHub Actions/GitLab CI.

Cloud: AWS, GCP, or Azure primitives.

Languages: Python, Bash, Go, or Rust.

Bonus: Security (RBAC) and active open-source contributions.
