Full-Stack Engineer – Finance Technology

Location: Glasgow (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
We're hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to join a high-impact Finance & Regulatory Technology team within a top-tier global investment bank. This team is responsible for building strategic, cloud-first data solutions and modernising legacy platforms that support critical regulatory reporting across the firm.
You'll work as part of a collaborative Agile squad, building scalable backend services and data pipelines while partnering closely with Finance and Regulatory stakeholders. This is a great opportunity to contribute to high-visibility projects in a fast-paced environment where innovation and best practices are valued.
What You'll Do
- Design and build full-stack applications for finance and regulatory reporting
- Develop Java backend services and Spark-based data pipelines
- Modernise existing systems into scalable, cloud-native solutions
- Handle complex datasets and ensure data integrity across platforms
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and automated testing frameworks
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in full-stack development
- Strong core Java skills (Scala knowledge is a plus)
- Hands-on experience with Spark or other distributed computing tools
- Familiarity with Azure or similar cloud platforms
- Experience working with relational and/or cloud databases (Snowflake, Sybase)
- Front-end development using Angular or similar frameworks
- Comfortable in Unix/Linux environments
- Agile and DevOps mindset
