A leading multidisciplinary creative production studio is looking for a Media Software Technician to join its technical team in London.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of creative production, media technology and digital content, supporting ambitious projects across live events, immersive experiences, installations, entertainment and branded environments.
You'll play a key role in keeping the studio's technical infrastructure running smoothly, while working closely with creative and production teams to deliver complex media projects to a high technical standard.
The Role
Working alongside the Technical Manager, you'll help ensure projects run efficiently from a technology and media-production perspective.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the technical delivery of multiple projects from development through to final output.
- Managing content creation software, plugins and licenses across workstations and render infrastructure.
- Monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting render farm systems.
- Coordinating technical media deliveries for major projects.
- Working closely with artists, designers and producers to understand and resolve technical requirements.
- Ensuring renders and media outputs conform to the required technical specifications.
- Identifying potential technical issues early and helping project teams find practical solutions.
- Supporting the wider studio with day-to-day technical problem solving and workflow optimisation.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience working in a creative technology, VFX, motion design, animation or digital production environment.
- Strong experience with Cinema 4D, Redshift and Thinkbox Deadline.
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent troubleshooting and independent problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- A methodical and organised approach to technical delivery.
- The ability to work calmly and effectively under tight deadlines.
- A proactive approach to identifying issues before they impact a project.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to creative and non-technical colleagues.
Desirable Experience
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
- Unreal Engine
- TouchDesigner
- Notch
- Houdini
- ZBrush
- DaVinci Resolve
- Large-scale media management, transfer and archive workflows
- High-volume media and data handling
- Emerging creative technologies and digital production workflows
You don't necessarily need experience across every platform listed above. We're particularly interested in people who are curious, adaptable and keen to stay ahead of evolving creative technologies.
The Working Environment
This is a full-time, office-based position in London, working Monday to Friday alongside a multidisciplinary creative and technical team.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project requirements.
