Commutable distance to London (Hybrid working)

Right to Work in the UK for a minimum of 2 years

✅ Good knowledge of Playwright and Appium

Excited about AI!

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our QA team, reporting to the Head of QA. You will test across our full product stack: patient-facing mobile apps (iOS & Android), web dashboard, and backend APIs on software that is regulated as a Medical Device (SaMD). You will own and expand our Playwright and Appium automation frameworks, treating automation as a core part of the role, and play an active part in triaging production issues to keep you close to how our products behave in the real world.

We are a team that works independently, thinks strategically, and cares deeply about the patients at the centre of what we do.

We actively embed AI into our QA practice using LLM tools to accelerate output, from generating test cases and acceptance criteria to supporting bug investigation. We expect QA engineers to build fluency in these tools as part of their core skillset.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Patient/Clinician Support

  • Actively participate in support operations: triage incoming production issues, investigate root causes, and contribute to resolutions
  • Use insights to identify gaps in test coverage and feed learnings back into the testing strategy

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Proven commercial QA experience, combining strong manual testing with hands-on automation. Depth of skill matters more to us than years on a CV
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright (web E2E) and/or Appium (mobile), or equivalent with readiness to adopt our stack
  • Solid grasp of testing best practices: regression, exploratory, API, and acceptance testing across multiple platforms
  • Strong technical writing skills — test plans, acceptance criteria, and test reports

  • Experience in regulated software environments (SaMD, ISO 13485, or similar)

ABOUT US

Hopper Healthcare was built to solve one of healthcare’s greatest challenges: fragmentation. Clinical, operational, and financial systems were never designed to work as one – and the result is inefficiency, variation and preventable risk. We created hopper as a configurable, intelligent healthcare operating system that connects data, workflows and people across the entire care continuum. By unifying infrastructure and embedding intelligence at every layer, we enable organisations to deliver better outcomes, stronger performance and more equitable access to care.

Hopper Patient Management (myrecovery) connects patients, clinicians and care teams across the entire care journey. From digital onboarding and risk assessment to remote monitoring, virtual care and patient-reported outcomes, every interaction is unified in one seamless experience. Hopper customers can invite their patients to download the myrecovery app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

We are experiencing significant growth in patient and clinician users globally across the NHS, state-wide US hospital networks and global medical device companies. We are looking for problem-solvers who are analytical, proactive, and delivery-focused. If you're a self-starter who thrives on collaboration and is passionate about improving patient care, we'd love to hear from you.
