Infrastructure System Engineer
📍 London | Hybrid (2 days onsite)
💰 Up to £60,000 + benefits
📅 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
We're working with a well-established organisation undergoing a number of infrastructure and technology improvement initiatives and are looking for a System Engineer to join the team.
This is a hands-on role sitting between support and infrastructure, offering plenty of ownership across systems, projects and continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting and maintaining core infrastructure including servers, networks and enterprise applications
- Acting as an escalation point for more complex support issues
- Working closely with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders
- Supporting infrastructure upgrades, migrations and security initiatives
- Monitoring system performance and proactively resolving issues
- Contributing to documentation, process improvements and automation opportunities
What we're looking for
- Experience in a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Support role
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking and Microsoft environments
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and enterprise applications
- Exposure to cloud, virtualisation or hybrid infrastructure environments
- Understanding of cyber security principles and best practices
- Comfortable working across both BAU support and project delivery
