API Engineer (Python, FastAPIs) - 2/3 days a week in London

As an API Engineer , you'll be critical in ensuring complex data is easily accessible and consumable. You will design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and well-documented APIs that power internal and external applications.

What You'll Do

• Build the Engine: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs using Python, with a strong focus on FastAPI .
• Integrate Data: Build efficient data querying mechanisms from structured databases.
• Champion Best Practices: Uphold high standards for clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

Who We're Looking For

You are a seasoned API builder with a proven track record of shipping high-quality services. You have strong expertise in FastAPI and a deep understanding of how to build production-grade APIs used at scale.

Must Have: Strong expertise in Python and the FastAPI framework. Strong experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.

Nice to Have: Experience with data transformation tools like DBT. Proficiency with AI-powered development tools. Experience or interest in supply chain, agri-food tech, or geospatial platforms.
