Senior / Lead Data Scientist - Dubai based - relocation to Dubai

We are seeking a Senior / Lead Data Scientist to join our clients Marketplace team, where you will work on some of the most challenging and high-impact problem statements. This role will focus on optimizing our ETA predictions, supply & demand balancing, and real-time tracking systems—all of which are central to delivering a seamless customer experience.

You will leverage your expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, experimentation, and large-scale data analysis to develop models and insights that directly influence how millions of people move across cities.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deploy predictive models for ETA, demand forecasting, surge pricing, and supply allocation.
• Design and analyze A/B experiments to test product and algorithmic changes in the live marketplace.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
• Work with real-time streaming data to improve tracking, matching, and dynamic decision-making at scale.
• Contribute to algorithmic improvements that optimize marketplace efficiency, reduce wait times, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Mentor junior data scientists and share best practices in experimentation, model development, and applied ML.

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Applied Statistics (experience in high-scale consumer tech or mobility is a plus).
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with SQL
• Deep understanding of probability, statistics, and hypothesis testing, with hands-on experience in A/B testing and causal inference.
• Proven experience in building and deploying ML models (forecasting, classification, regression, time-series, recommendation systems, etc.).
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, or similar) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
