Agile Programme Manager - Cloud Migration - Digital Wallets

Role Overview:

The Payments Network Digital eWallet Domain (DDX) is nearing the final stages of a multi-year transformation, moving core business capabilities from legacy on-premises systems to the cloud. With around 40–50% complete, the focus now is to accelerate migration of key capabilities—including provisioning, lifecycle management, reporting, boarding, and transaction processing—by the end of 2026.

As an Agile Programme Manager, you will drive this modernisation by managing and expediting multiple projects within the Google, Samsung, and Other Wallet value streams. This role suits an engineer-turned-project manager with strong technical grounding, programme leadership skills, and a passion for agile delivery. After onboarding, you will operate with a high level of autonomy, ensuring both execution and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee delivery across 6+ agile teams, ensuring efficient, coordinated execution of large and complex product launches.
  • Champion agile product development practices and embed a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and improvement.
  • Use data and metrics to identify opportunities, optimise workflows, and drive measurable improvements.
  • Lead programme management activities including planning, risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and cross-team communications.
  • Develop detailed step-by-step migration plans for integrated API-based systems, covering development, testing, deployment, and data migration.
  • Manage dependencies across infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance, and global payments functions to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Facilitate major planning events, proactively resolve risks and blockers, and deliver projects on time and within expectations.
  • Collaborate with business programme management, portfolio management, compliance, and other delivery organisations to align modernisation objectives.

What You Bring:

  • Strong background in both engineering and programme/project management.
  • Deep understanding of agile principles, product development processes, and hybrid (agile + waterfall) delivery models.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-team software initiatives with interdependent components.
  • Skilled in building communities, fostering collaboration, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands-on problem solver who escalates risks effectively and drives accountability across teams.
