psd Group have been engage on an IT Environments Management role for the Insurance and Financial Sector. This client has a global footprint and a growing presence in Manchester.

They are currently seeking an Environment & Release Manager to ensure the optimal setup, configuration, maintenance and security of both their development and production environments. You will work closely with both the development and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operations and the effective implementation of IT solutions.

This is a pivotal leadership role where you will manage a combination of in-house and third-party resources to ensure the development, testing, staging, and production environments are reliable, scalable, and secure.

What you will need:

• YOU MUST have strong experience in IT environments and exposure to release management and knowledge of IT infrastructure, virtualisation technologies, and network management.
• Experience managing complex IT environments, including development, testing, staging, and production setups.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures is a plus.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
