Legal Counsel – Commercial & Technology | In-House | Hybrid | London Location: London (Hybrid working)Experience: Approximately 4–10 years PQE (guideline)Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits The Opportunity Our client, an innovative and rapidly growing international technology business, is seeking a talented Legal Counsel to join its expanding in-house legal team.This is an outstanding opportunity to work at the forefront of emerging technologies, advising on complex legal matters across the UK and Europe. You'll support major commercial projects, government contracts and strategic business initiatives while working alongside highly experienced legal and commercial professionals.The role offers a broad remit, combining high-value commercial contracting with regulatory, procurement and governance work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where legal is viewed as a genuine strategic partner to the business.About the Role As Legal Counsel, you will:

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, software licensing arrangements and technology contracts.
• Advise the business on commercial, regulatory and strategic legal matters across UK and European operations.
• Support public sector and government contracting activities, helping the business navigate procurement requirements.
• Provide commercially focused legal advice on areas including intellectual property, data protection, export controls and regulatory compliance.
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders across legal, commercial, engineering and product teams to support business growth.
• Assist with corporate governance, compliance and legal risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Europe on cross-border legal matters and best practice initiatives.

About You The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 4–10 years PQE (guideline).
• Have strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, ideally involving technology, software or intellectual property.
• Have experience advising on public procurement, regulated industries or government contracting, although candidates from broader commercial backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
• Be comfortable providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders.
• Possess excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Enjoy working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where legal plays a key role in commercial decision-making.
