Product Content Designer
We're looking for a Product Content Designer to help improve the clarity and usability of a complex digital product used in operational, high-stakes contexts.
This is a hands-on role for someone who cares about how content works inside a product - guiding users, reducing friction and supporting decision-making - rather than brand, campaigns or marketing messaging.
You'll be working within a multidisciplinary team on a data-heavy service where precision, consistency and accessibility are critical, and where content choices have real-world consequences.
Contract Details
- Location: Preferably hybrid (London) but open to remote (UK only) for the right candidate.
- Start: Mid-end February.
- Duration: Initial 3 months with strong likelihood of extension (6+ months).
- Rate: £400/day Inside IR35.
- Active UK Security Clearance (SC) is essential.
The Work
- Creating and refining in-product content across complex user journeys.
- Writing clear, concise interface content, guidance, labels and error messages.
- Making complex technical or operational information understandable without oversimplifying.
- Working closely with designers, researchers and product leads to ensure content supports user tasks and service outcomes.
- Testing, iterating and improving content based on user feedback and evidence.
- Helping establish consistent content patterns and standards across the product.
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience in product content design / UX writing.
- Experience working on complex, data-driven or technical digital products.
- Background in public sector, regulated or operational environments (essential).
- Comfort working in delivery teams and navigating constraints.
- Strong attention to detail and a user-first mindset.
- Current, active UK Security Clearance (SC).
Please note: This role may involve some crossover with projects or stakeholders in the defence sector.
