Sales Engineer
Commercial Sales Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £65,000-£70,000 Base (£90,000-£100,000 OTE)
The Business
This isn’t another perimeter security play.
This is about data.
Where it lives.
Who can access it.
Who shouldn’t.
And what happens when the wrong person does.
In today’s world, data is the asset. It’s the IP. It’s the crown jewels. And most organisations still don’t truly know what’s happening inside their own environments.
This business gives them that visibility.
They show customers:
- Where sensitive data is stored
- Who has access
- Where risk sits
- And how to stop threats fast
It’s not theoretical security. It’s operational. Real-time. Commercially impactful.
The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Commercial Sales Engineer to work alongside Account Managers and Partners across new and existing enterprise accounts.
This is not a back-seat technical role.
You’ll be front and centre in the sales process. Running evaluations. Leading demos. Translating complex security conversations into business impact. Helping customers understand risk in a way that actually lands.
You’ll need to be:
- Commercially aware
- Technically credible
- Comfortable in front of senior stakeholders
- Able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
If you’re proactive, sharp, curious and willing to really learn the space, you’ll thrive here.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Understanding customer environments and mapping solutions into them
- Delivering high-impact product demos to technical and non-technical audiences
- Running proof-of-value engagements and product evaluations
- Supporting RFPs and RFIs
- Enabling and developing partners technically
- Acting as a trusted advisor across enterprise security teams
There is travel involved, depending on territory.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, Technical Consultant etc.)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows OS, Active Directory)
- Solid understanding of security hardware and software
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, from practitioner to C-suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Security certifications and hands-on IT security experience are a bonus.
A degree is welcome, but capability and experience matter more.
The Profile That Wins Here
You tend to:
- Break complex problems into clear solutions
- Move with urgency without losing detail
- Handle pressure well
- Build trust quickly with customers
- Adapt your communication style depending on who’s in the room
- Stay organised and commercially focused
This isn’t a passive pre-sales function. It’s a revenue-driving, customer-facing role.
Training & Development
You’ll go through structured onboarding and product training so you understand the platform inside and out.
More importantly, you’ll learn how to position it commercially, how to articulate value to security leaders, IT directors and executive stakeholders.
Culture
Fast-moving. Collaborative. High standards.
You’ll be surrounded by smart people who care about doing things properly. There’s strong internal support, proper training investment, and a team that wants to win without the politics.
