We’re partnering with a growing, ambitious technology services business operating at the heart of critical national infrastructure. Supporting customers across highly regulated sectors, the organisation delivers complex, end-to-end solutions spanning cloud, security, networking and managed services.

As part of an exciting leadership evolution, they are now looking to appoint a Head of Delivery — a newly created role with the opportunity to shape, build and lead a high-performing delivery function.

This is not a role where you inherit a finished machine.

It’s an opportunity to build one.

You’ll bring together project management and engineering under a single, cohesive delivery model — introducing structure, consistency and commercial discipline where it matters most.

You’ll be stepping into a live environment with active projects, real clients, and genuine complexity. But your focus won’t be firefighting — it will be creating the systems, standards and team that make delivery scalable, predictable and profitable.

🧭 What You’ll Be Doing

* Designing and implementing a clear, consistent delivery methodology

* Bringing structure to project governance, reporting and performance tracking

* Establishing effective pre-sales to delivery and project to BAU handovers

* Driving resource planning and utilisation improvements across engineering teams

* Leading and developing Project Managers, IT engineers and technical teams

* Owning delivery performance — from customer outcomes to commercial success

* Building a culture of accountability, clarity and high standards

🎯 What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you’ll have:

* Embedded a consistent delivery framework across all projects

* Delivered measurable improvements in utilisation and project performance

* Created clear visibility of project-level financials and margins

* Built a confident, capable team with strong leadership and reduced dependency risks

👤 What We’re Looking For

* A proven leader who has built or transformed delivery functions, not just managed them

* Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, including IT technicians/engineers as well as Project Managers

* Strong background in technology services, managed services or complex IT environments

* Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of project profitability and delivery risk

* Confident working alongside technical teams — able to challenge, question and guide

* Decisive, structured and action-oriented, with a focus on outcomes over theory

* Comfortable operating in an evolving business where pace and change are constant

📍 Location & Requirements

* UK-based (remote-friendly, with travel to offices and clients as needed)

* Ideally located within reach of Yorkshire or the South Coast
