We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our IT & Business Change Team. This is a permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week vacancy based in our Oldham office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style.
We are looking for a transformational leader who thrives on delivering change projects that meet customer and business requirements, as we continue on our journey delivering our Digital, Data & Technology Strategy alongside other key business changes.
The overall purpose of the role is to plan, design and effectively manage large, complex technology and business change programmes of work or multiple related projects, proactively monitoring progress within a structured framework to enable effective delivery against business case.

You’ll be able to demonstrate
Essential:
- Proven track record in leading the delivery of complex projects and programmes in several disciplines including technical, software and business change.
- Proven track record of managing large and/or complex budgets and able to drive benefits definition and realisation.
- Excellent knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes, with experience of developing roadmaps with supporting resource forecasts.
- Excellent contract management skills.
- Experience of line management and matrix management of cross functional teams.
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications including presentations.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of DevOps tools & Cloud computing.
- Proficient in use of delivery and collaboration tools (i.e. DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint and MS Teams).
- Experience of ITIL principles and processes.
- Housing sector industry experience.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- Professional qualifications in programme and project management MSP, PRINCE2, APM or similar.
