Systems Developer
About the role
A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a Systems Developer to join our forward-thinking team in Oldham on a full-time permanent basis, we appreciate flexibility is important so we offer a hybrid working model.
The purpose of this post is to develop and update the IT systems needed to support IT BAU Service and the Change Portfolio required to meet the Guinness business and operational plans.You will develop functional specifications, configure, and develop code, unit test and document the system designs (including supporting configuration).
Collaborating with Business Analysts, Solution Designers and Architects to inform solution options to ensure that all developments support a coherent overarching solution design that delivers the desired business outcome.What we’re looking for

You will not only be experienced in systems development, but you will also have great customer service skills and excellent communication able to forge good working relationships across the business. You will also be able to demonstrate the below essential skills and experience:
- Experience in the development, programming and integration across one or more development languages such as SQL, .NET, HTML, Java, XML, C++, C#, PHM, Python, etc.
- Broad Experience of a range of technology solutions including ERP, CRM, ESB, Azure, Cloud, AI, IoT, RPA, etc.
- Experience of one or more software/technical development delivery approaches such as Waterfall, SDLC, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, etc.
- Experience of analysing business requirements, documenting system design, developing objects/code, unit testing and deployment.
- Experience of delivery within a structure development approach such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban using AzureDevOps, JIRA or equivalent.
- Some experience or awareness in one of the following technology platforms: Dynamics 365 CE, PowerPlatform, SQL Server (including SSIS or SSRS), Azure.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, platforms, and programming languages while in role.
- Problem solving / debugging / issue resolution.
- Good oral and written communications.
Essential Qualifications:
- Educated to Level 2 (C+ or 9-4 GCSE or equivalent) or higher.
Desirable Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in an IT/STEM related degree discipline or equivalent.
- IT systems development certifications and/or experience in Microsoft D365 CRM, Azure Integration Services, NEC Housing / Asset and Oracle Fusion Cloud, etc.
