Java Technical Lead - Core Java, ETL, Data Migration, Azure, Low-Latency, Real-time, High-performance

A high-performing financial consultancy is seeking a Lead Java Developer to take the reins on a major project for their largest client, a globally recognised investment bank.

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll work with low-latency, high-performance Java to build real-time systems and lead a critical data migration initiative, helping modernise the bank’s legacy infrastructure. You’ll also provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers on the team.

Main skills required

• Proven expertise in low-latency Java development

• Strong experience with data migration strategies and ETL processes

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments

• Previous team leadership or mentorship experience is a plus

This contract is outside IR35, offering up to £650 per day. While the role is primarily remote, candidates should be flexible to attend occasional meetings in London as needed.
